There are 12 permanently installed Ethernet links going from various wall sockets in the room to the rack, ending up on the black 24-port patch panel at the very top. Different quality of cable was use (some CAT6, some shielded CAT5, some CAT5 UTP), so your high-frequency (i.e. Gigabit) mileage may vary.
